chronicles of the neo family without a maid

ok, this is it. this would probably be one of the last few entry i would blog.
after this, i would have to study real hard for my prelims and o levels
although i think once in a while i will still pop in to blog
but that would be quite rare
hmm. many things happened these few days
first, my maid went home.
it was on a thursday evening, if i'm not wrong
after that, everything went somewhat chaotic
because, that --- maid just left everything undone
and she just happily went home
to think that she had worked so hard for our family
my mother even went to treat her
but we found out that, she stole many of our clothings
left all the washing undone for i think, i week?
(except for the school uniform and daily clothing)
so, after she went home, we got to do everything by ourselves
it started by washing our own plates, bowls, forks & spoon
that was still quite alright
but it slowly become like, you've got to wash your own clothes
iron them. and make sure they were dry before school starts
and the maid, she left my only extra uniform in gong's house
so, i got to re-wear my school blouse.
then come the next day, friday. i woke up abit later
(i was used to the maid calling me to wake up)
then, i got up, no breakfast, no water
went out, socks and shoes were not there
sighs. finally got everything by myself, i went to school
then came friday evening, my father bring us out for dinner
everything was still ok.
the only thing was, no one to help me find my clothing
found out that i have no more undergarements to wear
damn it. search high and low, finally found out that the maid had not been washing clothes for the last week. (so wanted to slaughter her if she was in front of me)
then, after much searching, then managed to find some

saturday. woke up very late
12+pm. then later, my sister and mother got to go wash all the clothing
one whole week of dirty laundry
unfortunately, it was drizzling. my sister got to carry an umbrella for my mother while she wash the clothes
(can just imagine the scene)
they wash until they were soo tired. then later, my youngest sister went to squeeze and hang the clothing
but i had to re-squeeze everything she did, and hang it back
sighs. then later, quickly went to finish up my tuition work
and of course, did some school work
then, went down and it was time for dinner
came back, my mother still got to help my sister make milk
heard the "story" of hers. quite heart-warming

today, woke up late for tuition
tuition starts at 10.15am, but i woke up at 10.10am
left 5 mins to brush my teeth, wash my face, put on the rubber band
before i could even finish brushing my teeth, my tutor was already outside the toilet door
quite embarressing, but still, quickly bring her to the room
the room was soo messy, i just had to put all the books on the bed
tutor got to adjust fan by herself, and got no water
(the maid would usually bring up a cup of water for her, and me)
then, with my messy hair, and smelly mouth, we had 2hrs of tuition
after the whole session, then did i relax.
later, my mother started talking to me about the exams
and i started pressurizing myself
said i had no more time to study before the prelims come
and looking at my standard now, i really dont know if i can do well
after that, helped my mother fill the pail with water
scoop out all the water that was in the washing machine
(so unlucky that the washing machine spoil, and she was told not to use it, but she din listen)
sighs. just by scooping all the water from the washing machine is tiring enough
still had to cook for my mother and youngest sister
luckily it was only maggi mee
but it was the worst maggie mee i had ever eaten
it all happened until now.
and my mother is still washing the clothes
with her bare hands. no technology
sighs. later still got to help her hand, squeeze the clothes
then she got to iron all clothings
sighs. just hope that the long wait for the new maid would be a good one

i conclude that without a maid, its really quite difficult to just get use to it all of a sudden
but although we got to do everything by ourselves, it gives me a feeling that our house is very clean
cos we made sure everything was really clean.
and we trusted ourselves, besides, it also bonded our family

yep. that's all for now.
wonder if i would have clean dry socks tomorrow or wet soggy socks
still have 4 more days to go, before new maid comes.
heard that her name is Siti. of course not her full name
just hope she would be just a bit smarter
so that she can adapt to the house very quickly
